A brand new day awaits you…

A brand new day awaits you…

They call it tomorrow…

A brand new day awaits you…

Free of worry, trials and sorrow…

A brand new day awaits you…

You can sing sweet melody like the sparrow…

A brand new day awaits you…

After all this, a new season must begin…

A brand new day awaits you…

This fight, this struggle, you will win

Emotional tangle

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

Emotional confusion

Unclear motivation

Confronting, understanding

My emotional complication

Rescue me from this situation

Mental frustration

I react off the cuff

As though the earlier problems were not enough

In an unstructured discourse

I felt like I was force, now deep remorse

So I speak my mind

Though mean and unkind

Now I am twice disturbed

Thrice perturbed

“Good Heavens!” My anger tree must curb

It’s happening!

“No, its not”

It’s happening!

“No, its not”

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

What do I want?

“I want that which I don’t want”

So I let go of that which I want to hold

Cuddling with warm embrace

While saying, “Stay outta my face!”

What do I want?

Oh God I need your help

My emotional drama

Each separated by a comma

In a minute I love what I hate

Then excited over what soon bore me, sealing my fate

Émouvoir

French emotion

Move, strong devotion

Drive, elation

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Later I’ll be ecstatic

Electric, a fanatic

Bombarded by fear

Having no care

Doubt and uncertain

Then suddenly all is clear

Oh, what is this my Dear?

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

No. 1 reason I do what I do

Led by the emotions rather than the heart

Oh it’s tearing me a part

Emotion needs no reason

At times may use a season

Then another moment, high treason

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

(Those who struggle with the emotional highs and lows, learn the importance of replacing that part of you with faith, faith in a God who is far more powerful than your emotional experiences)

I Survived Home

A new day breaks

Greeted by aged old heart aches

A place call home for loving hearts

A master piece work of art

The irony of this symphony

My place of safety

Love sanctuary

Has become my Calvary

To help me the evil dispel

Is now my living hell

Be Obedient

Why do you ask questions when you don’t want answers?

Why do you want me to speak when you are not listening?

And why do you ask me to lead when you want to follow the path of your own?

Why do you hear my words, and then disobey?

You asked me to order your steps but yet you keep running away from me

You believe I always watch over you, surely I always do, even though I don’t like all the things you do.

You said I should hold your hands and lead you into the unknown

But you only want to go the way you know

You just don’t understand, for you, I have the perfect plan

There are doors that have failed to open because you are not walking with me…And those doors already open will only take you down a path further and further away from me

You said I should control your lips but you keep on speaking and singing lewd language

You Gossip, you carry tale and oh God knows what else…that’s right I do know what else…

You said I should keep your mind pure yet you keep harbouring unwholesome thoughts and imaginations

My words are true…

My mercies each day are new…

If you really want to worship me…be obedient

The Burden of a Girl's Heart - Prayer

Oh God,

You are God of all creation, human and wisdom.
You reign supreme.
Oh God, you know the cries of my heart

Some things I just don’t understand.
Why a mother hates her child,
Or a child hates his/her mother
I don’t quite know why mom and dad just doesn’t seem to get along

Nor do I understand why it seems as though dad hates his child
And why the child hates dad
How can a place of love and protection
Be packed with so much hatred, bitterness and danger?

God, Almighty!
Where have we gone wrong?
The devil is certainly having a field day in our family
We have a spare room around the back, I am sure that is where he sleeps at nights.

Sisters and brothers hating each other so much they try to kill each other
And sometimes they do succeed.
God, in all this madness
Fill my heart with gladness

Hear the cries of your children,
The cries of children being hurt and cursed,
The sadness and pain of children being battered and abused
A land in ruins, a family in turmoil

“The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands” (Proverbs 14:1)
“A wise man builds his house upon a rock…” Matt. 7:24

Why a teen, a child like me should carry such a burden?
So God, I write you this prayer from eyes swollen with tears
I write you with a heart so filled with anguish and hate, for my parents taught me well
Sometimes God, Dad, I wonder what was it like when my parents were children
Did their parents hate them too?

God for four years now I tried killing myself, I have now concluded that even death hates me
So now I want to live and find true love in the world,
I believe I was made for better.

Help me to show that with you in my life, a mess can become a message
Help me God to find better, help me to endure, help me to find joy, in Jesus name.
Amen

(A child, a teenager, a man, a woman, needs this prayer today - A world filled with dysfunctional families - Intercede toay)

His soul search for home…

A man wanting to give love and care…

Not quite the story we often hear…

His heart desires to be home…

Instead it seldom wanders but never roams…

A soul caught within a love-net…

Leaves the faint discouraged and perplexed…

A man, no boy…

Must he treat love like a toy?...

He won’t even bet on it…

A chance too great to take…

A man wanting a girl…

Someone he can call his precious pearl…

A man wanting a wife…

With whom he can joyfully share his life…

A man wanting a son…

A lad to perpetuate his legacy…

A bitter taste in the heart…

Hunts for the sugar sweet love of his heart…

As the lungs need air…

He wants his love to be near, be there…

A man longing for a touch…

English, Spanish, French or Dutch…

A man wanting to give love and care…

Not quite the story we often hear…

If while giving…

He too starts receiving…

A soul searching for home…

Ends the seeking, the hunting when it finds Home!

Caged No More…

Caged no more

Free to fly

Free to soar

~~

A bit taken aback

You standing still

Carrying the past in your pack

~~

Confinement your testament

You ask oh why

A mind in predicament

~~

Hands and feet no longer bound

Yet you standing still

Thralldom compound

~~

Stop this human greed

Hoarding the basics

While another dies from need

~~

Caged no more

Free to fly

Free to soar

~~

A bit taken aback

You standing still

Carrying the past in your pack

~~

The Slave encaged by the Master

But still keep his will

The Superior enslaved by greed, a sheer disaster

~~

Caged no more

Both must be free

Free forever, free forevermore

Knock…knock…Your success is at the door

Knock…knock…who’s there? ... Your success...

If you were told that your success is just outside your door, what would you do?...

Knock…knock…and the knocking continues…you need to make the next move...

The next move to get just what you have always wanted...

You have been praying for your breakthrough for a long time now...

Finally, your answer is just outside the door...

Perhaps too you are thinking, “Yeah right!”...

“If only life was that simple…”

But let us suppose again that life was always simple...
And our faith is what determines how simple or complex life becomes

“Really now?...”
Sure…it is as simple as opening the door and allowing success to come inside...

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” – St. Matthew 7:7 – “Join the 7:7 Prayer”...

There are some considerations too…Time is essential as success will only wait on your response for a specific time…the offer wont last forever…It will soon move to the next available door, obedient heart or determined bidder....

If you were told that there is just one small problem that is standing between you and success…would you be willing to make that change?...

Would you know what is standing in your way?...

Your ‘door’ may be a bad habit...

Or it may be your intemperance, impatience, your slothfulness or foolish pride...

It may be that you just didn’t ask....

Whatever it is, how prepared are you to open that final door and allow success to walk right in?

Join the 7:7 prayers…let’s make success walk right through your door.

The Best Two-Word Conversation I Know...

Thank You…

Sharing these two words with you, there isn’t much else to say or do…

Thank You…
For all you have given, done and continue to do...

Thank you…
For staying the course...

Thank you…
You stuck to the task...

Thank you…
Now we have fond memories, forever they’ll last...

Thank you…
The best two-word conversation I know...

Thank you…
Even the smallest act of kindness or caring gesture will ignite a heart and cause it forever to glow

Thank you…

He's living a lie

He calls himself a saint...
Poisoned by his own lust he grows faint...

He makes the altar a place of shame...
Partaking in the name without playing the game...

His gift and status, a young girl's deception...
Uncovered by her conception...

This 'priest' with a soul of charm...
Yet another prey he hunts then harm...

When the prophet rebukes...
Forsake the stubbornness of age and the folly of youth...

The fragrance of deception...
Can you tell by mere smell...

Playing evil melody on his drums, his flute...
cloak-and-dagger, guileful pursuit...

He wears a lie in his profession...
That keeps him at peace without confession...

Not one with The Creator...
Rather the Deceiver...

CONGRATULATIONS!

I know there were times when you certainly thought you couldn’t, you wouldn’t and perhaps you shouldn’t.

Throughout the worrying moments; the pain, the tears, the tiring days and sleepless nights there were so many battles that you had to fight.

~ *~*~*~

With all the skeptic voices shouting you can’t and you won’t, well…you have done it!

You managed to swim against the tide, now your success cannot be denied.

Whatever you didn’t know then, you know now, you surely can and you surely did it. The results are here…Yeah! You did it!

Congratulations!

She needs her identity

Her father was never the real big man...

She hated men though she needed one...

Always wishing he would one day come home...

But she wondered whether she would hit him with a stone...

Her father was never the real big man...

She hated men though she needed one...

Her peers spoke highly of their dad...

She could only imagined the glories she never had...

Daddy if you only knew...

Mom had a baby girl and called her Sue...

Her father was never the real big man...

She hated men though she needed one...

With tears streaming down her face...

Father’s day, she yearned for your embrace...

Her father was never the real big man...

But she didn’t want just any man, she wanted that special one...

Who or what is standing in your way?

In your quest for success how do you decide who to keep close to you?

How will you jeopardize your goals by playing with fire or by simply being stupid?

How can your smaller goals, wild habits and desires destroy your main purpose?

If you remain disorganized, uncommitted, indiscipline and tardy, how will this ultimately affect you achieving your goals and ultimately the final score of your life?

I have been embarking on a personal ‘clean-up’ exercise. What is that?
It is an exercise that is aimed at eliminating those beliefs, values, ideologies, thinking and imaginations, behaviours, prejudices, attitudes and individuals in my life which make it more difficult to live in God’s will. Frankly, I am embracing a wiser lifestyle and letting go of the complicated and foolish living.

Oftentimes it is said there is much wisdom in simplicity. I wholehearted agree. I have committed to living simplier and wiser too. We have complicated our own lives, and by so doing we have made living almost impossible.

I am on a quest to finding people I can network with who share similar passions and are also committed to their purpose. I will then keep these persons for as long as God says they are to remain a part of His plan for me. Speaking of plans we force others into our lives or vice a versa and they are not a part of the plan and never will be. But we somehow just want them to be, only to our own peril. Is that stupidity? I will let you be the judge.

The world is filled with too many people who are going nowhere. As difficult as that may sound, I know you will agree there is some truth to it. They are at the same place every time you meet them. It even gets worse in some instances. You must always go back over what you have done a thousand times before when dealing with them. They aren’t moving and they are not growing. They eventually start holding you back if they are around you long enough.

I have resolved in my heart, when I meet such persons I must seek God’s help and do the wise thing. I must let go of my ‘negative drivers’, which may be any of the seven things listed above. As a caution, we help ourselves down in attempting to help these persons up at times, so beware. The sooner we realise this is true the better we will be.

There are far too many persons who are their worse enemy, distracting themselves from the very goal they are working towards achieving. But what should they do? What can they do? Well..Deal with yourself, recognise that your soul likes to connect, but you must not connect or even entertain just about anyone.

Another area of concern, persons tend to hide under the ignorance clause, “IDK” or I don’t know. They tell themselves that they are not quite sure the impact others are having on them, and by the way, these are usually negative influences. They deny that there is power in the music they sing or listen to; they continue to say their environment, the company they keep, and the things at which they find entertaining are not distracting. Truthfully and sadly, they are living in a state of denial.

Beware, you can deceive or ‘psyche’ yourself into believing that some things that are destroying you are good for you.

I said it earlier that most persons are going nowhere. This is so because not many take the time and care to ask about that single most important purpose for which they were created.

They never take the time to ask God, The Creator for His blue print of their life.

Some do ask, but then start to construct their lives even before God responds.

So now, how do you decide who is to remain a part of your journey and who should not?

This is such an important question I am happy I learnt the importance of this in my mid teenage years. Daily look at the experiences you have, preferably at the end of the day. With God’s guidance decide which persons or things are worth having and which aren’t, always weighing them against the purpose God has planted in your heart.

Who claims to be wise? Let him show it by his good life. The book of James 3 is a good place to start.

Can you ever forgive Dad?

She hated him for how he treated her and her siblings. He would drink until he became drunk, then came the verbal abuse.
That is story of 16 year old Sarah.

In another house not very far away, 17 year old Jack is being told that he must be on his own when he gets to age 18.
He is scared and tormented by the fear of being driven out in the world too soon.

There are many untold stories of very unfortunate experiences with fathers.
The irony, many hurting children grow up and cause similar hurts to their children and spouse.

When does this vicious cycle ends?
Yes daddy was wrong, he was far from being perfect. But what good is there in treating him as he deserves? When do we start healing the world by touching one heart at a time?

When we have the opportunity to show others a better way of life we should always jump at it. Even though you might still be hurting, by choosing to forgive, you have made the first deposit towards settling your own healing bill.

FORGIVE, then start to experience a better quality of life.

One hand raised for Dad

Recently I was conducting a choir rehearsal with fourteen members in the church hall. I asked persons to show by the raising of the hand if they grew up with their father and whether he had played a role in their development even if he was not physically present. I was dumb founded at the responses. Much to my surprise I was the only person in the room with my hand in the air.

In that moment of reflection, persons used the opportunity to share their various heartbreaking and disappointing experiences. There are people all over the world who never experienced the love of a father and some are still paying the price today.

There are those, who like me, had a father present but still not fully appreciative. Sometimes we become very ungrateful to our fathers because we somehow believe they never played the role we wanted them to play. They love the best way they knew how and gave what they could. They got some things wrong but they got many right too.

Christian Evangelist, Billy Graham said, "A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society."

Love can be communicated in many ways and too often we notice that the way a father shares his love with his children isn’t given much value and importance.

Men enjoy buying stuff and giving it when they share love. It is like sharing a part of them with you. Often times the monies used to purchase these gifts and items are hard earned monies on which they place great value; Monies that cost them their strength, energy and time away from home.

June is here and every year we take the time out to acknowledge the fathers across the world. Today I raise my hand for dad. I will always remember one small boy in my Sunday school class some years ago who said that when he grows up he would like to be a father. I thought, ‘How wonderful’.

To my female readers, please help to make our men become fathers we can all be proud of. Support them with your kind words of encouragement. Refuse to add your energy to the many negative voices out there.

To my male readers, we can do better and better is required of us, the odds are against us but let us keep our hands raised for dad. Regardless of whether you were exposed to good fatherhood, you can make a change and make a difference. Our children need their identity, they need us. Our Heavenly Father is counting on us. I raise my hand for dad. I raise my hand to you, keep going.

Travel to Jamaica

If you are planning on travelling to Jamaica and is a bit worried over what is being reported in the media.
No need to fear. I want to encourage you not to change your vacation plans. Furthermore if you are travelling to the resort areas, the hotels are usually secured. Take your usual precautions when you travel, but don't be overburdened with fear and worrying. You can still make this one of your best vacations ever.

Every body needs a little motivation

In times like these we all need a little motivation

We are all motivated by something or by someone

If you have not yet found it,

Go on a search to discover what motivates you

Quite often, we require the opposite of whatever discourages us

As you aim for the good, the right and excellent

Be mindful of the battle you are in

Fight this battle with wisdom and prayer

Let’s make it happen

You are on your path

Beware of the shadows that either drives fear in you

Or want to distract you

Stay focused,

Your reward,

Your destination

A sense of fulfillment

Are all powerful motivators

Love is also another powerful motivator

Take all the motivation you need

Dreams do come true

Dream it, believe it and make it

Think it – bring it – become it

Let’s make it happen

Intimate worship and a friend in you

So many times you have cried because someone failed you… So many times you have cried because someone upset or disappointed you...Oh those times when you felt hurt by words, actions and beliefs.

There have even been those times you failed yourself and felt really bad.

But, when was the last time you felt so loved and appreciated it brought tears to your eyes?

When was the last time your heart swelled with passion and overwhelming joy?

That aching feeling you felt wasn’t quite pain…But the uneasiness of knowing you have finally found comfort you have always longed is alive… It feels so strange but it is what you wanted…Know this, you deserve it….Get use to it

Tears are just like expressing words, a language from your heart

If you have been so moved that your heart sweat and it shows on your face in the form of tears, then it is only a sign that your heart is healthy.

When you enter into intimate worship or you experience the joy of great, true and Godly friendship and love it makes your heart sing.

It makes our hearts sing when others touch our lives through their kindness

At times when God speak to our hearts, the only way the heart knows how to respond is through our tears.

Just love Him and enjoy those joys He has brought into your life.

Let your eyes cry, let your heart sing.

I am here to help you…

If you need to walk I’ll be your legs...

If you need to see I’ll be your eyes...

If you need a drink I’ll be your water...

I am here to help and I am here to serve...

God wants us to rely on Him as our divine source...

But He has deployed his soldiers, his troops on the grounds...

We don’t fight with a gun or a knife...

We fight with God’s love weapon...

I am a soldier of Christ...

I go where he sends...

I answer when he calls...

Dance when He plays His rhythm...

If you need support, hold my arms...

I am here to help you…

God sent me, here I am

Saying I love you

I said it

I meant it

And it felt real good

These three little words

Eight letters no hate letters

In one unbroken sentence

I said it

I meant it

And it felt really good

It came back to me

In ways I just couldn’t see

And it felt real good like it should

We desire to hear it from someone

Experience it, not with just anyone

It must be ‘someone’

Time has never really explain

Words that can sooth and heal

Remove the headache, the pain

I said it

I meant it

And it felt real good

You heard it

You believed it

And it felt real good too

Saying I love you

Is a powerful heart-glue

The bond for two hearts wanting to come together

Between “I” and “You”

There is something we’ve got to learn to do

Place love in the middle, always start with “I” but focus on “You”

I said it

I meant it

And it felt real good

Like a ‘Give away’ that stays

A run away that never leaves

Love resides in the heart and parades on the sleeves

Love award us experiences we never knew

Stirs the emotions and awake the soul,

Or cause the soul to sleep and dream by a simple

“I love you”
