Emotional tangle

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

Emotional confusion

Unclear motivation

Confronting, understanding

My emotional complication

Rescue me from this situation

Mental frustration

I react off the cuff

As though the earlier problems were not enough

In an unstructured discourse

I felt like I was force, now deep remorse

So I speak my mind

Though mean and unkind

Now I am twice disturbed

Thrice perturbed

“Good Heavens!” My anger tree must curb

It’s happening!

“No, its not”

It’s happening!

“No, its not”

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

What do I want?

“I want that which I don’t want”

So I let go of that which I want to hold

Cuddling with warm embrace

While saying, “Stay outta my face!”

What do I want?

Oh God I need your help

My emotional drama

Each separated by a comma

In a minute I love what I hate

Then excited over what soon bore me, sealing my fate

Émouvoir

French emotion

Move, strong devotion

Drive, elation

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Later I’ll be ecstatic

Electric, a fanatic

Bombarded by fear

Having no care

Doubt and uncertain

Then suddenly all is clear

Oh, what is this my Dear?

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

No. 1 reason I do what I do

Led by the emotions rather than the heart

Oh it’s tearing me a part

Emotion needs no reason

At times may use a season

Then another moment, high treason

All in one body

All in one head

Come alive

Then drop dead

Emotional tangle

It can be too much to handle

(Those who struggle with the emotional highs and lows, learn the importance of replacing that part of you with faith, faith in a God who is far more powerful than your emotional experiences)
