A small kind word so fitly spoken
Heal our ills and mend the broken
But a small unpleasant word uttered out of turn
Sinks deep into our spirits and cause the soul to burn
So when next you must speak
Keep your words pleasant, soft and sweet
For the delicate heart wounded and hurt
May be like an irremovable stain upon a shirt
