What Stays in Your Memory Most?

As I was taking time out to relax earlier today I asked myself an all important question.
What lodge or reside in my memory more, good or bad experiences?
Which take up more of my memory space, first or last time experiences?

I have realized that the things we do today, tomorrow and hereafter is greatly impacted by whatever saturates our memory most. Our memories help to determine our future behaviors, I would say. It is almost like a receptacle. If it is a garbage receptacle then the consequences are going to be damaging and unpleasant. If it is a sterilized mind then the quality of our life will be super.

God desires that we saturate our memory with pleasant experiences and filter the tragic and detestable ones. One day while I was traveling to school I witnessed a very tragic motor vehicle accident along the main road where I use to live. It was such a horrifying experience that from where I was standing I could see body parts. One child was literally cut in two and there were signs of his intestine on the ground. This experience has never left my mind since that day.

I know I will certainly have to do some mind spring cleaning. But what do you say? What stays in your memory most?

For me, I dwell a lot on the good stuff.
