Who or what is controlling YOU?

Who or what is controlling you?
Who or what has the power to direct and determine your next course of action, your next thought or what determine your valuables?

Are you under the control of someone or something?
All of us are under the control of someone or something, without any exception.

When you are under the influence of someone or something your actions are determined accordingly. I saw this week just how one of my friends held her self captive, take a look at this scenario:

She had some money put away as short term savings. She needed to pay some bills that were now overdue. The entire thing placed her under such severe stress. She was under stress because she had some money tucked away that she did not want to use. It was so amazing to see how much pressure she brought unto her self by refusing to withdraw her own money. She was under the control of this thought and remained under its control until she decided to take back control. The same instant she decided to call the financial institution and requested the check was the very same instant her stress level went all the way down.

One of two things usually happened with control: We either yield control or we lose control. It is only when we realize how much control these things and persons have over us that we can make a change. We can refuse to yield control or lose control any longer, then and only then will we have dominion as designed by God.

Another side is, self-control, it is such an important fruit of the spirit we should not yield it to anyone or anything else. It is certainly worth keeping and never losing.

The next time you come under sever pressure from someone or something, take a conscious decision that you will not yield control and you will be amazed how much more power will reside in your hands. Yielding control to the circumstances around us only warrant us powerless. If you have lost control of your life, you can regain control. Then when you have it, then you can truly live it.
