Why do you ask questions when you don’t want answers?
Why do you want me to speak when you are not listening?
And why do you ask me to lead when you want to follow the path of your own?
Why do you hear my words, and then disobey?
You asked me to order your steps but yet you keep running away from me
You believe I always watch over you, surely I always do, even though I don’t like all the things you do.
You said I should hold your hands and lead you into the unknown
But you only want to go the way you know
You just don’t understand, for you, I have the perfect plan
There are doors that have failed to open because you are not walking with me…And those doors already open will only take you down a path further and further away from me
You said I should control your lips but you keep on speaking and singing lewd language
You Gossip, you carry tale and oh God knows what else…that’s right I do know what else…
You said I should keep your mind pure yet you keep harbouring unwholesome thoughts and imaginations
My words are true…
My mercies each day are new…
If you really want to worship me…be obedient
